The skies are blue here at the Shell Games glass-enclosed nerve center. It’s all smiles in the hallways. Our fight song is Bing Crosby’s “Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive,” and we got it playing all day long.
That’s why we must divert our attention from other programs in the Maryland athletic department and focus on the winners, namely the field hockey team. The Terps just completed a blazing start to the 2008 season that began with a revenge win over the team that ousted them from the NCAA Tournament, Penn State. The team kept rolling with a 8-1 blowout of #8 ODU, and a lob-sided 5-1 victory over #9 Michigan. They concluded the week with a 4-0 record, a #1 ranking in the polls, and ACC Player of the Week honors for Katie O’Donnell.
Now if that doesn’t make you smile, what will?

I’m glad some Terp team is holding it down. Screw ODU, too…they had a beatdown coming.
I didn’t realize they started allowing women to attend ODU.
They didn’t…but there are loopholes.
